Museum of Nonhumanity
Museum of Nonhumanity – public programme 2.-29.9.2016
Nynnyt created a public programme for schools at the Museum of Nonhumanity, a project by artist Terike Haapoja ja writer Laura Gustafsson, which was open for public between the 2nd and 29th of September, 2016 in Tiivistämö, Suvilahti in Helsinki. During this time nynnyt hosted guided tours and workshops for teachers and school groups, and published an online activity booklet to accompany visitors in and outside of the museum.
The museum tour and workshop programme was also one part of an East Helsinki cultural course called Hate speech or freedom of speech? (Vihapuhetta vai sananvapautta?), organised by City of Helsinki Cultural Office and executed in collaboration with Vuotalo, Red Nose Company theatre, journalist & black feminist Maryan Abdulkarim and rapper Aksim as well as with teachers of Vuosaari comprehensive school.
The activity booklet was printed out for all the visiting teachers.
Now it can be found & printed by everyone here in Finnish – the English version is on its way!
